“We could have scored more goals but 2-0 against Baroka FC was more than enough”- Coach Jozef Vukusic
Polokwane City coach Jozef Vukusic is proud of the team even though he had hoped that they could have scored more goals against Baroka FC during the Polokwane Derby on Saturday at the Peter Mokaba stadium.
Rise and Shine Star forward Walter Musona scored on 36th minute giving City an encouragement to push harder in the 2nd half, and the second one eventually came when Jabulani Maluleke scored in the 70th minute.
Coach Vukusic felt it was important to strengthen the team’s defence when he substituted Salulani Phiri with Ayanda Nkili right in the nick of time. Given that the team lost the Previous 2 games (against Mamelodi Sundowns and Black Leopards), Vukusic emphasized that they have learned from their mistakes and that he was glad Edgar Manaka Showed his experience on the field and it was not left unnoticed, not only that but that the team itself came together and to achieve their main goal for the Derby.
Coach Jozef is hoping for another win against Golden Arrows away on the 29th August and that the team will have enough time to strategize and prepare "I admit we didn't have a great start for this 2018 /19 season, but I'm proud of the boys’ consistency and focus dusting this match"
